Dec 13th. 2008 : Success inVancouver!
For the inauguration of the stadium that will host the Vancouver 2010 speed skating competitions, Le Patin Libre presented a dynamic show. More than 6000 spectators! Thanks to all our rocks stars: Marie Bellavance Courtemanche, Marie-Soleil Leblanc, Roxanne Dupuis, Mylène Théroux, Julien Mercier, Sylvain Bouillère, Liam Dougherty, Alexandre Hamel, Sébastien Dufour, Pierre Bernier and Maude Poulin! Déc 8th 2008 : Le Patin Libre flies away
The troop flies away to Vancouver! A nice house, a luxury hotel with waterslides, nice rental cars and loads of ice time to prepare a crazy show... We will have a great time! And will give it all to this huge show!

Nov 11th 2008 : A hundred new stars...
Under the supervision of one of the troop's choreographers, about a hundred young figure skaters, hockey players, ringette players and speed skaters are getting ready for their appearance in the show that will inaugurate Richmond's new speed skating oval. The Vancouver 2010 olympic speed skating competitions will be there...

The troop rehearses intensively for its shows in Vancouver in December 2008. We're preparing a huge step forward.

October 30th 2008 : New reality-TV show: "The Patin Libre Recruits"
We started our own reality-TV show! It tells the story of the new troop members who've been recruited for our West-Coast tour! It's more fun and there's no spangles or publicity! click here . Sorry, it's only in French. But you'll get it...

October 1st 2008 : Show in Rivière-du-Loup
Another dream comes true! The troop will do it's first apperance in a remote region! The Festival "Noel Chez Nous" welcomes the troop in Rivière-du-Loup, a little 5 hours drive down the river from Montreal... The show will be crazy, dozens of kids from the local skating club will be involved.

September 12th 2008 : West Coast tour!
Are 2 gigs enough to declare we're on tour? Who cares! We'll be doing a show in Los Angeles on Dec 9th and 10th and in Vancouver on December 13th. We organised auditions to find 2 new troop members who'll be part of the trip... eMore details here ..

August 25th 2008 : A New Program: The Patin Libre Teams
The troop launches a new semi-private "at home" skating program through which more skaters will be able to have access to New Wave skating. More details here .

August 16th 2008 : Le Patin Libre invades United States...
The troop's first show in the States ! In Lake Placid, about 600 poeple witnessed a few unexpected performances by Pierre, Alex, Julien and Liam. Thanks to the new Ice Capades for inviting us!

August 10th 2008 : A first show!
26 skaters participated in the first show of the Patin Libre School. The students of the school showed what they learnt and premiered their own creations. New Wave skating has a bright future... More details here .

June 29th 2008 : The Patin Libre School is launched
The first semester of the Patin Libre School is now launched ! 23 young ice artists are learning how to approach skating as a culture and an art! At the end of the summer, they will present a show with star skaters of the troop. To know more, visit the Join us section.

May 25th 2008 :"Alternative" - end of the first tour

May 1st 2008 : Countdown to "Alternative "
The troop just ended its tour in local skating clubs . The great countdown toward the "Alternative" show is started! The skaters are rehearsing intensively and are progressing toward something huge that will redefine the concept of an ice show... Le Patin Libre is not a small skating troop anymore... March 21th 2008: "A real revolution"
